How to reach Ekornhytta
Ekornhytta is only 3 hours by car from Oslo!
By car
The Color Line ferry takes you very comfortably from Kiel to Oslo, even in winter. Once in Oslo, simply follow the E 6 north (the E 6 is the main road in Norway and leads to the North Cape). In Kvam you leave the E 6 and then it's only 20 minutes up into the mountains and you've arrived in the magic world of Rondanes.
This route is very easy to drive even in winter without spikes, as the E 6 is always cleared.
By plane
If you want to reach your dream destination quickly, then hop on a plane to Oslo. The legendary Dovrebahn starts right in the airport building.
The drive from Oslo to Kvam takes less than 3 hours and costs just under 40 euros per person!
From the compartment of the Dovrebahn, you can enjoy the view of the beautiful Gudbrandsdalen from the very beginning. From Kvam we can organize transport for you up to the mountains. In Kvamsfjell there is even a small grocery store with its own bakery, so you can take care of yourself.
